Aurora Institute for the Arts is the Fox Valley’s premier music school, teaching all students from ages 3 to adults.
Our main offering is our Suzuki Strings Program. Our music instructors are trained in the Suzuki method and teach violin, viola, and cello lessons.
The Suzuki Philosophy bases its approach on the idea that Every Child Can and that talent is not inborn but developed
We strive to form artists but more importantly to help every child develop its true potential, tap into the joy of making music and develop beautiful human beings. Suzuki students thrive in an environment of support from their parents, teachers, and their peers.
Aurora Institute for the Arts creates a community where teachers, parents, and students work as a team to ensure that all involved feel comfortable, confident and develop positive self esteem and self worth.
Come observe a group class!
Making music with others is one of the greatest joys of playing an instrument. At Aurora Institute for the Arts, group classes are an essential part of our curriculum.
Violin, viola, and cello group classes are a wonderful way for students to meet each other and learn from each other. Our group classes are taught by Suzuki-trained violin and cello teachers who make the classes fun and educational.

Testimonials
“My daughter and I love studying cello in the Suzuki method with Miss Anna! Miss Anna is kind, patient, and knows how to maximize a young child's attention span during lessons. Miss Anna is an excellent communicator and goes above and beyond to provide support and resources during lesson time and beyond. I highly recommend Anna Herrera's Suzuki Cello Studio to anyone interested in learning cello."

“Randy is a stellar violinist and my kids love watching him perform. I have never met an instructor who is more respectful to his students and their parents. There was never a moment where Tessa felt she couldn’t approach him for questions on a difficult piece of just talk about her days.”

“Anna has been my son's teacher for 2 years and her guidance has helped him become the best cellist he can be. She spends the time to help him clean up his technique and provides exercises beyond Suzuki workbooks. She encourages him to find songs that he likes and often they "jam" together. Anna likes to challenge her students by providing them opportunities to play in front of an audience - why else would they practice so much if they cannot play in front of others? As a busy parent, the best part of having Anna as a teacher is that she is in constant communication with schedules and workload. She is easy to talk to, respectful, and dedicated to her students. She's the best!.”

“Anna is a wonderful music teacher! She is patient and explains things thoroughly for my kids. They feel very comfortable with her, which is so important when learning something new. She is such a talented musician and I feel very fortunate to have my kids in such capable hands.”
